Summer Camp

IMG_0662_edited.jpg

Discover a new way to help your child build confidence, make friends, and develop a life-long love of movement.  Summer Camp at New England Academy of Gymnastics provides children with the high-quality gymnastics education that you have come to expect from our programs, along with all of the traditional camp activities that kids love, including: weekly themes, arts and crafts, swim, games, and more!

Each day, campers engage in fun instructional rotations, learn new gym games, enjoy the freedom of choosing their own rotations during open gym, and engage in special, themed activities!

All campers must be a minimum of 5 years old, and a maximum of 12 years old,  at the time they attend camp.  Campers who do not meet the age criteria at the time of registration will need to contact the office to register.  Campers are broken down into age groups based on age and ability level.  No prior gymnastics experience is required.  We will make every effort to accommodate grouping requests as needed.

Forms

Additional required forms

This camp must comply with regulations of the MA DPH and be licensed by the Marlborough BOH.  In accordance with these regulations, all campers are required to have a completed Camper Health Packet, as well as a copy of their most recent physical and vaccination record on file in order to be eligible to attend camp.  To be eligible to participate in swimming, all campers must have a signed waiver for the pool at Wayside, along with a Sunscreen Permission Form. Camp forms can be emailed directly to devan.tonelli@newenglandgymnastics.com, faxed to (508)460-6320, or dropped off at the front desk during regular business hours.

Swimming

Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon camp visits Wayside Athletic Club for open swim in their beautiful outdoor pools.  The 6-lane, 25-yard main pool, is heated to a perfect 82 degrees, and boasts features such as a diving board, water slide, and separate 3.5 ft shallow section.  Their zero-entry kiddie pool is also available for relaxing water play for our youngest campers.  All campers are swim tested by Wayside's certified lifeguards and provided with coast guard approved floatation devices as needed.  Transportation to and from the pool is provided by First Student School Bus Charters.  Camp staff accompany children both on the bus and in the pool.

Swim

What to Bring

Campers should bring a lunch, snack, and water bottle daily.  Extended day campers should bring an additional afternoon snack.  On swim days, please pack your child with a swim suit, towel, and easy shoes (crocs or flip flops work best) for the pool.  Please note that goggles may be worn, but mask-style goggles (ones that cover the nose) are not permitted in the pool at Wayside for safety.  Phones, ipads, video games, and other personal electronics should be left at home during camp.

What to Bring

What to Wear

Campers should come dressed for gymnastics each day.  This includes leotards, or other comfortable, fitted clothing free of zippers, snaps, or any other embellishment that might scratch their skin or the equipment.  Please note that the gym can be a tad chilly in the morning so some campers find that bringing along a sweatshirt until they get warmed up is helpful.  Hair should be pulled back in a pony, braid, or bun, and all jewelry removed (stud earrings are okay).  Gymnastics is safest in bare feet, so no special footwear is required, but we recommend coming in shoes that are easy to slip on and off for bathroom breaks, as well as the pool (see above).

Theme Weeks

Themes

We're excited to announce our 2026 weekly theme lineup!  Each week we'll elevate the camp experience with a different weekly theme that will inspire our crafts, games, and special activities.  Each Wednesday of camp we  invite campers and staff to dress up for our theme with spirit awards to the best dressed camper and group.
